Learn about Glow In the Dark Pigments
Technical Information
Glow in the Dark Pigments, also known as photoluminescent powder, and glow in the dark powder, absorb light energy from sources like, the sun, fluorescent lights, torches, light bulbs, and UV light sources, then when exposed to low light conditions, will glow in the dark - illuminate for up to 12 or more hours,. These versatile glow in the dark powders, will absorb light energy, then discharge the accumulated light energy, many tens of thousands of times, over many years, making them value for money. The price paid for these glow pigments, is usually returned in value many times over. An example of this is in OH&S - Occupational Health and Safety, Household Health and Safety TM. Another example being reducing electricity costs when glow products are used to reduce the use of lighting in homes and business.

Glow in the dark pigments have the following characteristics
- Glow in the Dark Pigments are non toxic, not radioactive and not flammable
- Glow in the Dark Pigments immediately after absorbing light energy, glow intensely, and over time gradually decrease in glow intensity. The glow, dependant on the type of glow pigment, can still be glowing up to 14 hours later.
- Glow In The Dark Pigments illuminate (light up) objects that surround them. The more intense the glow, the brighter the surrounding area will be.
- Glow in the Dark Pigments are in powder form making them an ideal choice for many projects
- Glow Pigments have various particle sizes, smaller particles normally have a lower glow intensity, and are used in various applications, including Printing, air brushing, and spray painting.
- There are many glow in the dark, glow colours, most being variations of the four main colours, Yellow/Green, Blue/Green (Aqua), Blue, and Pink.
- The Yellow/Green Glow Pigments - Powders, having the strongest Glow (illumination), and the longest glow time. Aqua (Blue/Green) glow pigment has the next best glow specifications, followed by Blue, and at the least glowing end of the range are the Pink, Peach and Purple, glow pigments and their variations.
- There are two main types of Glow in the Dark Pigments, Standard series, and Day colour series. There are also different grades of Glow pigments for both main types. Two examples are Super Glow In The dark Pigments, and Premium Green Glow Pigments, which out perform the normal standard series glow pigments by up to 50 percent.
- UV Black Light sources are great to make Glow in the Dark Pigments charge. quicker than normal.
- UV Black Light sources can be used to make some Day colour glow pigments, fluoresce, while being exposed to the black light source. An added benefit is that the glow in the dark pigments, are absorbing the blacklight source, at a very high rate so if the blacklight is switched off, the glow pigments will glow in in semi dark conditions.
- All Glow In The Dark Pigments can be used in near infinite ways, from tracking animal, bird and insect movements, at night, to night clubbing; from Glow in the dark toys, to HH&S (Household Health & Safety) TM.
- All Glow in the dark Pigments can be mixed with various mediums, including Paint, Resins, Ink, Plaster of Paris, and many more.

The quote was $750 for the one kilo; that's ridiculously expensive. So we had some made for us, and sold it at $100 per kilogram. To this day we offer our glow pigments at wholesale prices so everyone can afford them. Unfortunately on some Auction sites some merchants still offer glow in the dark pigments, at ridiculously over inflated prices, an example being 7 grams for $7 plus shipping. This equates to $1,000 per kilogram.
